The Primary Section started in 1984 with 69 students in STD I & II, one division each and got its 1st recognition in the year 1986 for STD I – IV. Slowly the Primary section grew up to 4 divisions of each STD i.e. STD I to IV. Presently we are having 846 students in the primary section.

In the primary classes (STD I- IV) the Curriculum is as per CCE (Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation). In Gyan Kendra Primary Section, teaching goes beyond the text books. Children are taken for field trips. Equal weightage is given to curricular as well as co-curricular activities. Individual guidance is given to the weaker students by our well experienced teachers after school hours.

Children are sent for various Interschool Competitions organized by the Education Department, Mani Bhavan & other schools.

We have a well equipped Library with an Audio Visual Room. Physical activity plays a very important role in the daily life of the students. The children are given an opportunity to show their athletic skills through P.T. Display & sports like running, hurdles, skipping, sack race, yoga and karate etc.

The values taught are honesty, punctuality, cleanliness, obedience, self-discipline, gratitude, respect and team spirit.
